BRICK – After a two-month investigation, the Brick Township Police Street Crimes Unit arrested two men for illegal narcotics.
On March 13, authorities searched a home on Lenape Trail in Brick Township and seized heroin, cocaine, furosemide, diazepam, two digital scales and several miscellaneous items of drug paraphernalia.
The two occupants, 64-year-old Roy John Pickell Jr. of Brick Township and 59-year-old Joseph Coiro of Whiting, were arrested. Both were charged with three counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of furosemide, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia. Pickell and Coiro were processed at Brick Police Headquarters and lodged in Ocean County Jail.
Chief David Forrester commended the Street Crimes Unit and the Ocean County Narcotics Strike Force for their diligent efforts in this investigation.
The charges referenced are merely accusations and the public are reminded that all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
