STAFFORD – A Browns Mills man was killed after crashing into a tree in Ocean County Tuesday morning, police said.
The crash occurred around 9 a.m. on Route 539 in the area of Cedar Bridge Road in Stafford Township, near milepost 11.5.
According to police, 30-year-old Gogi Jailava was driving southbound on Route 539 in a 2008 Toyota Yaris when he lost control of his vehicle, leaving the roadway and colliding with a tree.
He was taken to Southern Ocean Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries, police said.
The Stafford Police Department has initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision.
