TOMS RIVER – A township woman has been sentenced to state prison after robbing a woman, spitting on police officers and more, officials said.

Olivia Paige, 35, of Toms River, was sentenced to seven years in New Jersey State Prison (NJSP) as a result of her previously entered guilty plea to Robbery in connection to an incident that occurred in Lakewood Township on August 29, 2023. This sentence will be subject to the terms of the No Early Release Act, meaning that Paige will be required to serve at least 85 percent of her prison sentence before she may be considered for parole eligibility.

Additionally, Paige was sentenced to three years NJSP as a result of her previously entered guilty plea to Possession of Cocaine in connection with an incident that occurred in Brick Township on January 11, 2023.

Lastly, Paige was sentenced to eighteen months NJSP as a result of her previously entered guilty plea to Aggravated Assault in connection with an incident that occurred in Lakewood Township on April 14, 2023. The sentences will run concurrently.

Paige pled guilty to all charges on April 22.

On August 29, 2023, a woman sitting in her car on Clifton Avenue in Lakewood was approached by Paige who brandished a knife and demanded money. The victim handed over money and Paige fled the scene. After receiving a description, officers located Paige at a nearby eatery and arrested her. She was found to be in possession of a five-inch utility knife, officials said.

Paige was transported to the Ocean County Jail, where she has been detained since August 29, 2023.

On January 11, 2023, police received a report of shoplifting at a convenience store on Maple Avenue in Brick. Police determined that Paige was responsible for taking items from the store without paying. While arresting her, officers found her in possession of cocaine. Paige was transported to the Ocean County Jail, and subsequently released as a consequence of New Jersey Bail Reform.

On April 14, 2023, officers responded to the area of First Street in Lakewood regarding a disorderly woman. Officers found Paige shouting profanities and acting in an erratic manner. While trying to subdue Paige, she spit in the officers’ faces. She was taken into custody, transported to the Ocean County Jail, and subsequently released as a consequence of New Jersey Bail Reform.

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer acknowledged the diligent efforts of Senior Assistant Prosecutor Shanon Chant-Berry who handled these cases on behalf of the State, and commended the Lakewood and Brick police departments for their efforts in connection with these investigations – leading to Paige’s guilty pleas, and now her state prison sentence.
