  JERSEY SHORE – A deceased Minke whale was discovered washed ashore in Lavallette early Friday morning, officials said.    The Marine Mammal Stranding Center received a reported that a small, deceased whale was found near Trenton Avenue around 6:30 a.m. The animal was identified as a Minke whale measuring 10 to12 feet in length.   JERSEY SHORE – A deceased Minke whale was discovered washed ashore in Lavallette early Friday morning, officials said.

   The Marine Mammal Stranding Center received a reported that a small, deceased whale was found near Trenton Avenue around 6:30 a.m. The animal was identified as a Minke whale measuring 10 to12 feet in length.

  According to the Marine Mammal Stranding Center, this is a different whale than the one that was sighted in the Lower Bay/Raritan Bay area Thursday.

  The carcass was transported to the public works yard and will be secured for necropsy. At this time, the Marine Mammal Stranding Center is assembling the necropsy team.
