POINT PLEASANT – On Thursday, December 5th, at approximately 3:00 p.m., the Point Pleasant Borough Police Department, with support from the Ocean County Prosecutors Office and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department, responded to a residence on the 1100 block of River Avenue for a person in crisis.
During this time, road closures were implemented as a precaution until the scene was assessed. A significant police presence remained at the scene until approximately 8:20 p.m. when the situation was resolved, and the crisis was successfully averted.
The Point Pleasant Police Department assures the community that there is no ongoing threat to public safety. The heavy police response was necessary to ensure the well-being of all involved.
