JACKSON – An early morning crash in Ocean County has left two teens dead and three others injured. The vehicle they were riding in crashed into a tree, according to police.
Jackson Township Police Chief Michael Kunz confirmed to Jersey Shore Online that the single vehicle crash happened in the area of North Hope Chapel Road and New Central Avenue on Friday, May 23.
Chief Kunz said the accident was reported by a driver who passed the crash site at around 4:39 a.m.
The two teens, who’s identities have not been released, died at the scene. The other three were taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center.
The severity of the injuries is not yet known.
The crash is now under investigation.
