WALL — Authorities are investigating a three-vehicle collision that left a Brick Township woman dead Thursday evening in Monmouth County.
Police were called to the intersection of State Route 70 and Morningstar Road shortly after 5:20 p.m. on March 5 after receiving reports of a crash, according to Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago.
When officers arrived, they found three vehicles involved in the collision. The drivers of all three vehicles were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
One of the drivers, a woman from Brick Township, was later pronounced dead at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. Officials have not released her identity while authorities work to notify family and friends.
The investigation is being conducted by the Wall Township Police Department, the Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team, and the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.

Authorities said no criminal charges or summonses had been filed as of Friday.
