LAKEWOOD – The Arc, Ocean County Chapter raised $92,000 during its 24th annual Step Up for The Arc Walk, an event that supports programs and services for individuals with disabilities.
The fundraiser was held at the Jersey Shore BlueClaws Shoretown Ballpark and drew about 600 attendees. Organizers said all proceeds will benefit The Arc of Ocean County’s residential, vocational and family support services.
The event featured 40 walk teams raising money for program wish list items. Planned purchases include a mock grocery store to teach job skills, supplies for the Wave Riders Special Olympics soccer season and a summer trip to Atlantic City for residents of the Anchor group home.
The Arc, Ocean County Chapter serves 1,100 individuals with disabilities and their families through housing, job training, employment supports, transition services, transportation, clinical services, recreation and other programs.
Donations to the 2026 Step Up for The Arc Walk can be made at arcocean.org.
