STAFFORD – A Browns Mills man faces several drug charges after police reportedly found methamphetamine and cocaine during an early-morning traffic stop, authorities said.

Stafford Township police stopped a vehicle driven by William Endicott Jr., 48, around 1:06 a.m. September 17 in the Warren Grove section of Route 539.

During the stop, officers learned that Endicott had an active $500 warrant from Hammonton Municipal Court. Police said further investigation led officers to suspect drugs were inside the vehicle.

A subsequent search allegedly uncovered quantities of suspected methamphetamine and cocaine.

Endicott was charged with possession of methamphetamine and cocaine with intent to distribute, as well as separate counts of possession of each drug.

After being processed at Stafford Township Police Headquarters, Endicott was taken to the Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing in Superior Court.

The charges are accusations. Endicott is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
