BERKELEY — A 21-year-old township woman has pleaded guilty to distributing child sexual abuse material, and prosecutors plan to seek a three-year state prison sentence.

Julianna Goldstein entered the plea Nov. 2 before Superior Court Judge Dina M. Vicari, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said. Sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 5, 2027.

Goldstein will also be required to register under Megan’s Law and remain under parole supervision for life.

The investigation began after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a tip about someone sharing child sexual abuse images through multiple online platforms. The information was referred to the New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Detectives with the prosecutor’s High Tech Crime Squad traced the activity to a cellphone number connected to a Toms River home and identified Logan Oliveira, 25, of Toms River, as the person involved, authorities said.

Investigators examining Oliveira’s communications found messages exchanged with Goldstein. Prosecutors said those messages showed she had sent him nude images of minors. Authorities also said Oliveira directed Goldstein to inappropriately touch a child and photograph the contact.

On April 29, 2025, investigators searched Goldstein’s Berkeley Township home under court-approved warrants. An initial examination of her electronic devices uncovered multiple files containing child sexual abuse material, prosecutors said.

Goldstein was arrested at the home without incident and taken to the Ocean County Jail. She was later released pending court proceedings.

Oliveira pleaded guilty to distributing and possessing child sexual abuse material on Dec. 16, 2025. He remains in the county jail awaiting sentencing Dec. 4.

Prosecutors will seek a five-year prison sentence with no parole eligibility on the distribution charge and a concurrent five-year sentence on the possession charge. He will also face lifetime parole supervision and Megan’s Law registration requirements.

Assistant Prosecutor Lynn Juan is handling the prosecution. County investigators worked with federal Homeland Security investigators, state police, Berkeley and Toms River police, the Ocean County Regional SWAT Team and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
