According to the agent, U.S. Customs and Border patrol intercepted a package with psilocybin mushrooms inside that was being delivered to a home on Mantoloking Road.

As a result, authorities executed a search warrant on the home of 37-year-old Lucian Demarco on October 11.

In addition, detectives found several safes, a shotgun, a rifle, a handgun with an extended magazine and a large amount of money.

Subsequently, Demarco was charged with transporting/possession of property derived from criminal activity, possession of a large capacity ammunition magazine, maintaining/operating a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) facility, possession of CDS, manufacturing/distributing CDS, committing a drug offense while in possession of a firearm and paraphernalia and money laundering.

Demarco was lodged in Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing.
