  MANCHESTER – A two-car crash sent two individuals to a local hospital and one to a trauma center via medevac, police said.

  According to police, a red 2017 Subaru Legacy Subaru was traveling east on Commonwealth Boulevard at around 6 p.m. on January 13, when a silver 2006 Honda Accord struck the Subaru near the front end of the vehicle.

  The driver of the Subaru was identified as 77-year-old John Biruk of Manchester, and the passenger of the Subaru was identified as 78-year-old Shirley Marziali of Manchester. Both sustained non-life threatening injuries and were transported to Community Medical Center for treatment where they are both listed in stable condition, police said.

  The driver of the Honda was identified as 19-year-old Marcos Flores of Lakewood. The passenger of the Honda was a 17-year-old girl who sustained serious injuries and was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center by Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Health’s LifeFlight medevac helicopter. The juvenile is currently listed in stable condition, police said.

  Assisting at the scene were Emergency Medical Technicians from the Manchester Township Division of Emergency Services, volunteer firefighters from Ridgeway and Manchester Fire Company, Paramedics from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and Accurate Towing.

 The investigation is ongoing; however, police believe the driver of the Honda disregarded a stop sign.

  This crash is being investigated by Ptl. Brendan Brush of the department’s Traffic Safety Unit.
