JACKSON – With the untimely passing of Councilman Scott Sargent last week, a vacancy exists. The Township Council is currently accepting letters of interest from eligible individuals to fill the vacant seat.
The Township Council this week announced how those interested in serving can apply for consideration. Letters of interest began being accepted on June 2, and will continue to be received until 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4.
Following the close of the short submission period, the Council may reach out to selected candidates to participate in interviews as part of the evaluation process.
Submission letters can be submitted via email to Township Clerk Sandra Martin at smartin@jacksontwpnj.net or Deputy Clerk Beth Gencarelli at bgencarelli@jacksontwpnj.net.
Councilmembers expressed that all interested and eligible residents consider this opportunity to serve the Jackson community and take an active role in local government.
