TOMS RIVER – A popular Ocean County brewery and a wine school suffered damage in an early morning fire, township police confirmed.
The blaze broke out at Toms River Brewing on Route 37 and spread to the front of the Bacchus School of Wine. Multiple fire companies were called to the scene around 1:30 a.m. on September 17.
According to Toms River Police Department Spokesperson Jillian Messina, there was significant damage to the front exterior of the building.
The cause of the fire is unknown but an investigation is underway by The Toms River Bureau of Fire Prevention.

Police said no one was injured.
Bacchus School of Wine posted a message on their Facebook page thanking firefighters, first responders and police for responding and extinguishing the blaze and said they will reopen soon after some cleaning.
