STAFFORD – One person was injured after a car crashed into a Stafford Township home early Tuesday morning, police said.
The single-vehicle crash occurred around 12:09 a.m. on Serpent Lane. Mary R. Lynn, 34, of Manahawkin was operating a 2012 Audi when the car left the roadway, hitting two parked vehicles in a residential driveway. The Audi then collided into the garage of the home, resulting in significant property damage, police said.
Lynn sustained a head injury in the crash and was brought to the Atlantic City Trauma Unit for medical treatment. She is currently in stable condition, police said.
According to authorities, initial investigation revealed the cause of the crash to be “unsafe speed and potential intoxication.”
At this time, charges are pending further investigation and test results.
The investigation is ongoing by the Traffic Safety Unit. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact the Traffic Safety Unit at traffic@staffordpolice.org or 609-597-1189 ext. 8436.
