WARETOWN – Five were injured in a collision involving a school bus on the Garden State Parkway Tuesday afternoon, New Jersey State Police said.
The crash occurred around 3:09 p.m. near milepost 69.1 in Waretown, with a school bus and a Lexus colliding in the southbound lanes.
According to Detective Jeffrey Lebron, the Lexus ran off the road and up an embankment and the school bus overturned in the left lane.
The driver, a school aide and three students on board the bus sustained minor injuries and were brought to an area hospital for further evaluation. No other injuries were reported on scene, Lebron said.
Authorities are investigating the crash and said there was no additional information available at this time.
