  FREEHOLD – Authorities are currently investigating a fatal crash involving a pedestrian being struck by a car in Freehold Borough on Wednesday morning.

  The crash occurred around 11:23 a.m. in the area of State Highway 33 Business (Park Avenue) near Ann Street. According to officials, a 65-year-old man was driving westbound on State Highway 33 Business near Ann Street in a 2022 Ram ProMaster cargo van when he collided with a man who was crossing the roadway from the nearby parking lot.

  The pedestrian, identified as 76-year-old Frank Tommasini of Manalapan, was pronounced deceased on scene. The driver remained at the scene, officials said.
