LAKEHURST – A home on Maple Street in Lakehurst was covered in smoke due to a heavy fire that broke out Monday evening, officials said.
Around 6:30 p.m., the Lakehurst Fire Department was dispatched to a working house fire after receiving several reports and a general alarm. Officials said they were joined by a firefighting crew from the Joint Base. At this time, no injuries were reported.
Assisting at the scene were Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst Fire Department, Manchester Volunteer Fire Department Station 32, Ridgeway Volunteer Fire Co. #1 Station 34, Cassville Volunteer Fire Company #1, Toms River Fire Company 2, Manchester Division of EMS and Lakehurst First Aid Squad 24.
