MANCHESTER – State Police are currently investigating human remains that were found in a wooded area alongside Route 70 in Manchester.
Around 7 p.m. Friday, New Jersey State Police were called to the Brendan T. Byrne State Forest for a report of human remains that were found by a hunter, State Police Detective Jeffrey Lebron said.
The search continued Monday as several law enforcement vehicles were seen along Route 70 in Manchester.
At this time, authorities have not released any information regarding the identity of the remains. Lebron said the investigation is ongoing and no additional information is available at this time.
