MANAHAWKIN – A West Creek woman was charged with shoplifting after allegedly stealing merchandise from the Stafford Township Target, police said.
Police confirmed that 32-year-old Ariela Reed was arrested on December 8 around 9 p.m. at the store at Stafford Park Blvd.
Police said Reed is accused of stealing approximately $302 worth of merchandise.
Reed was transported to police headquarters, charged with shoplifting under state law and released on a summons. She is scheduled to appear in Ocean County Superior Court.
Officer Gordon vonSchmidt made the arrest, police said.
All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
