KEANSBURG – A former Monmouth County resident was arrested for sexually assaulting a minor 20 years ago, officials said.
Robert L. Wisiak, 44, of South River, was charged with first-degree Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Minor and third-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Authorities discovered that the sexual assaults between Wisiak and the victim, who was a minor under the age of 13 at the time, took place on multiple occasions between the years of 1999 and 2001.
Wisiak is facing up to 20 years in a state prison, along with being subject to the provisions of Megan’s Law registration and Parole Supervision for Life.

Despite these charges, every defendant is presumed innocent, unless and until found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, following a trial at which the defendant has all of the trial rights guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution and State law.
