MANAHAWKIN – A New York man has been charged for attempting to use fake money to purchase items at a local Walmart, police said.
On February 20, 29-year-old Nepaul Campbell of Mt. Vernon, NY was charged for trying to use 21 fraudulent $50 bills in order to purchase two PlayStation gaming consoles from the Walmart located at 525 Route 72 in Manahawkin.
Police issued Campbell a complaint summons for Forgery to appear in Ocean County Superior Court.
All individuals are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
