JACKSON – A mechanic was killed in a tragic accident while working at a local gas station.
Jackson Police Chief Matthew Kunz told Jersey Shore Online that the victim was servicing an RV when it came down on him, ultimately causing his death.
The Freehold resident was brought to a trauma center for treatment. However, efforts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful, Chief Kunz said.
“It is our preliminary finding that this was a tragic accident,” Chief Kunz said.
The devastating incident occurred Saturday morning at a gas station located at the corner of Route 526 and Diamond Road.
