MANAHAWKIN – A local man was arrested and charged with stealing merchandise from a gas station, police said.
Around 4:45 a.m. on November 2, officers responded to the Manahawkin Shell Tire & Auto located at 700 Route 72 East regarding a shattered glass door. According to police, a suspect had broken the glass door, entered the store, and stole about $100 of vaping devices.
The investigation revealed the individual responsible as 33-year-old Robert J. Pawlowski of Manahawkin. As a result, he was arrested and charged with Burglary, Theft, and Criminal Mischief on a summons with a court appearance to be scheduled by Ocean County Superior Court.
All individuals are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
