BRICK – A Township man has been arrested and charged for uploading hundreds of child porn images to the internet, officials said.
Cesar Ortega-Zevallos, 69, of Brick Township, was charged with Possession of Child Pornography.
The investigation began after police received of a referral from the New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children tipped authorities about a person uploading images of child pornography to the internet.
Police later Unit identified an IP address associated with Ortega-Zevallos who was uploading the photos.
On November 16, detectives search Ortega-Zevallos’ home and did a forensic examination of his computer, where more than 1,000 images of child pornography.
Ortega-Zevallos was taken into custody at his home without incident. He was transported to the Ocean County Jail, where he is presently lodged pending a detention hearing.

Billhimer commends the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Unit, Brick Township Police Department, United States Department of Homeland Security Investigations-Newark, New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, and National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, for their collaborative assistance in connection with this investigation leading to Ortega-Zevallos’ arrest.
The charges referenced are merely accusations and the public are reminded that all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
