  SAYREVILLE – A Toms River man was found unresponsive on a boat in the Raritan Bay Monday afternoon, officials said.   Around 1:55 p.m., 53-year-old Kenneth Halvorsen Jr. was found on a vessel that had been moving in a circular pattern in the bay in Sayreville, New Jersey State Police Sgt.   SAYREVILLE – A Toms River man was found unresponsive on a boat in the Raritan Bay Monday afternoon, officials said.

  Around 1:55 p.m., 53-year-old Kenneth Halvorsen Jr. was found on a vessel that had been moving in a circular pattern in the bay in Sayreville, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said.

  Before authorities arrived, the boat ran aground. Halvorsen was the sole person aboard.

  Halvorsen was taken to a local hospital and later pronounced dead, Lebron said.

  The incident remains under investigation. At this time, State Police has not released details of the exact cause of death.
