BRICK – A local man pled guilty to owning images of child sexual exploitation, police said.
Dennis Hubert, 42, of Brick, pled guilty to Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material. He faces a term of five years in a New Jersey State Prison.
The New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received a cyber-tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that an individual was sending/receiving images of Child Sexual Abuse Material from the internet. The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Unit identified an IP address associated with a Brick residence where images of Child Sexual Abuse Material were being accessed.
Hubert was arrested on October 24, 2024 after a search warrant revealed several items of Child Sexual Abuse Material on electronic devices owned by Hubert.
He is currently lodged in New Jersey State Prison for a violation of his parole in an unrelated case.
Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer thanked Senior Assistant Prosecutor Shanon Chant-Berry who is handling the case on behalf of the State, and commended the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Unit, United States Department of Homeland Security Investigations, Brick Police, New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, and National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, for their collaborative assistance in connection with this investigation leading to Hubert’s arrest, guilty plea, and soon his state prison sentence.
