  TOMS RIVER – A woman who stabbed her ex-boyfriend in the leg – in what turned out to be a fatal blow – was sentenced to five years in prison for manslaughter.

  Samantha Massimino, 36, of Toms River, will have to serve 85% of her sentence under the No Early Release Act before being eligible for parole.

  At around 4 a.m. on October 24, 2020, she had stabbed her ex, Reinaldo Feliciano, Jr., 35, of Toms River. He was brought to Community Medical Center in Toms River but succumbed to his injuries 45 minutes later.

  Massimino was taken into custody at the scene and has been in jail ever since.

  Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer acknowledged the efforts of Supervising Assistant Prosecutor Jamie Schron who handled the case on behalf of the State, and commended the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit, Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Victim Witness Advocacy Unit, Toms River Township Police Department, Toms River Township Police Detective Bureau, and Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit, for their efforts in connection with this investigation.
