STAFFORD – A local man has been arrested and charged for possessing methamphetamine, police said.
Authorities began investigating 56-year-old Rosario Russo of Manahawkin who was suspected of distributing drugs throughout Stafford Township.
Detectives searched his apartment in the Cedar Run Apartments on Route 9 South in Manahawkin as well as conducted a motor vehicle stop on Russo within the complex.
As a result, police found Russo to be in possession of methamphetamine and located additional methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia within his apartment.
Russo was charged with Distribution of Methamphetamine, 2nd Degree Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug paraphernalia.
Russo was processed at police headquarters, issued a complaint summons and released with a court appearance scheduled in Ocean County Superior Court.
All individuals are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
