BRICK – Township Police issued a short statement on social media regarding a stabbing incident that took place on January 4th.
The statement posted on the evening of January 5 on the Brick Township Police Department’s Facebook page said they are investigating a stabbing that occurred at the Cherry Quay bike trail entrance.
The statement said police believe it was an isolated incident and there is no reason to believe that there is any danger to the public.
No further details are being released at this time.
However, the statement failed to mention whether or not a suspect had been apprehended. It also didn’t mention the condition of the person who was stabbed.
Exit 82 Scanner News reported the stabbing shortly after the incident on their social media page. They stated the suspect was a black male armed with a knife, and as 180 pounds, brown eyes and brown hair last seen driving a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer.
Police did not confirm any of those details.
