BERKELEY – Berkeley Township Police Department are alerting residents to avoid Veterans Boulevard as wires are down.
Wires are down across Veterans Boulevard and Montgomery Street in the Pinewald section of Bayville.
Police said Veteran’s Boulevard will be closed from Western Boulevard to the Forest Hills Parkway/Grand Central Parkway intersection. Drivers looking to access the Garden State Parkway can use the following detour route: north along Western Boulevard, west on Northern Boulevard, and south on Grand Central Parkway.
The road will remain closed until this evening, police said. Utility crews are currently working to fix the issues.
