TOMS RIVER – The Christmas holiday season officially begins this week, as the township will be hosting the annual Christmas tree lighting and Winter Wonderland celebration.
The ceremony will take place in Downtown Toms River on Wednesday, December 6 starting at 5 p.m.
There will be live holiday entertainment, refreshments for sale and Santa Claus will arrive on a fire truck to officially light the tree at 7 p.m.
Families can also take photos with Santa inside Town Hall. Hot chocolate and cookies will be available for purchase, with proceeds benefiting Volunteer Toms River Fire Company #1.
