TOMS RIVER – The local branch of the library will be closed for a few days due to the building’s HVAC system failing, officials said.
There is an expectation that the library will re-open to the public on Wednesday, July 12. However, if this is pushed back further, staff will post updates on theoceancountylibrary.org and their social media sites.

If you’ve got something on hold, that hold will be extended until Monday, July 17, officials said. Books can be returned to the book drop or any other county library location.
In the meantime, patrons are invited to use this bad news as an opportunity to explore the library’s online resources, including eBooks, eMagazines and more.
