Around 10:55 p.m. on October 26, authorities received a report of a theft in progress on Dugan Lane. According to the caller, the catalytic converter to his SUV had just been cut. A large white box truck with a loading ramp on the tailgate was seen leaving the area heading towards Lakewood.

Several units were dispatched and the car was soon located and stopped at New Hampshire Avenue and Church Road.

Officers were able to obtain a search warrant of the truck and subsequently seized two recently cut catalytic converters, a sawzall, multiple sawzall blades, a handgun with a 30 round magazine and hollow point ammunition.

The two men occupying the car, 25-year-old Ravene Johns and 21-year-old Malik Williams both from Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, were arrested.
