POINT PLEASANT — Firefighters rescued a woman from a second-story window during a structure fire on Viand Street, authorities said.
The Point Pleasant Fire Department was dispatched at 8:42 a.m. on January 11 to a two-story home, where crews arriving on scene reported hearing screams for help. Firefighters located a female victim hanging from a second-floor window and quickly raised a ladder to bring her safely to the ground.

Officials said heavy fire had spread throughout the home. After the blaze was knocked down, the structure was demolished to prevent potential damage to neighboring properties.
No injuries were reported, according to the fire department.
