FREEHOLD — Freehold Raceway Mall is rolling out a series of new stores, larger spaces and renovations as it heads into the summer shopping season.
The mall announced that JD Sports, Perfumania and Sleep Number are now open. JD Sports has expanded from the former Finish Line concept on the lower level near Ulta Beauty, offering athletic footwear, apparel and accessories from brands including Nike, Adidas, Puma and New Balance. Perfumania has opened on the upper level near the Center Court entrance, while Sleep Number has moved to the outdoor village near Kura Sushi and The Cheesecake Factory.
Several new stores are also under construction. Kids Empire, an indoor play destination for families, is expected to open in early summer with an exterior entrance next to Primark. Levi’s is scheduled to open in mid-June on the lower level across from Zara. Gap is also expected to open this summer in the DICK’s House of Sport wing, featuring clothing for women, men and children.
Some existing retailers are preparing for larger or updated spaces. T-Mobile is expanding its upper-level food court location from 1,996 square feet to 3,559 square feet and will introduce an experiential store concept. Pandora is moving to a larger space just across from its current location near Lush, growing from 1,260 square feet to 1,677 square feet while remaining open during construction.
American Eagle will temporarily move to a lower-level space near DICK’s House of Sport while its main store is renovated, with plans to reopen in late summer. Sephora is expected to temporarily close in mid-June for a full renovation and reopen by mid-summer.
The mall, which has more than 190 stores and restaurants, is also preparing for the arrival of Von Maur. The department store is under construction and expected to open in fall 2027. Mall officials said the store will bring premium brands including Vuori, Tommy Bahama, TravisMathew and Free People Movement.
