SEASIDE HEIGHTS — A fast-moving early morning fire tore through multiple homes in Ocean County, destroying four residences in Seaside Heights.
Fire crews were dispatched around 3 a.m. to Sheridan Avenue, where flames had already engulfed two two-story wood-frame houses, according to initial reports from the scene. The blaze quickly escalated to a third-alarm fire, drawing assistance from multiple fire departments across the region.
Authorities said the fire ultimately spread, consuming four homes before it was brought under control.
No injuries were reported.

Officials have not yet determined the cause of the fire, which remains under investigation.
