TOMS RIVER — Four people have been charged with hindering the apprehension of Douglas Cobb, who remains wanted in the September 18 killing of Bruce Gress, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced Thursday.
Investigators allege the four helped Cobb avoid arrest, gave police false information or both. Cobb, 51, of Toms River, is charged with murdering Gress, 42, also of Toms River.
Ronald Hagan, 50, of Brick Township, remains at large, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest. Sylvester Green, 43, of Bayville, and Cherice Nicholson, 46, of Howell, were arrested Thursday and taken to the Ocean County Jail pending detention hearings. Jennifer Rizalvo, 48, of Lakewood, was charged by summons and is awaiting a court appearance.
“We are working round-the-clock to apprehend Cobb,” Billhimer said. Authorities have released an image of Cobb taken from police body camera footage recorded in June.
The charges against Cobb and the four others are allegations. All are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
