JACKSON — Six Flags Great Adventure will open a redesigned Holiday in the Park on Nov. 21, introducing four themed areas, new entertainment and seasonal activities across the amusement park.

Season passholders will have early access during a preview night Nov. 20.

The holiday event will feature millions of lights, visits with Santa Claus, live performances, specialty food and select rides. Park officials said the new layout is intended to give each section its own atmosphere and attractions.

Glittering Gateway will welcome visitors with illuminated trees, oversized decorations and a 65-foot Christmas tree. A nightly tree-lighting production will feature choreographed lights, while the Glistening Snow Show will combine music, lighting effects and falling snow.

Santa’s Arctic North Pole will offer Santa visits, costumed characters, music and entertainment among decorated evergreens. Families also can gather around fire pits and make s’mores with Santa’s helpers.

Shoreline Pier will become Coastal Christmas, pairing beach-inspired decorations and lighted palm trees with seasonal performances. The area will incorporate Jersey Shore elements into the park’s holiday programming.

Sweet Street will feature candy-themed decorations, interactive activities and a silent disco at the Sweet Tooth Stage.

Additional entertainment will include “Holiday Road: LIVE on Tour!” at Showcase Theater, other stage productions, carolers, musicians and holiday characters. Visitors also can explore the Elf Craze Mirror Maze, find seasonal photo settings and gather at fire pits behind the Big Wheel.

Park President Mike Fehnel said the redesign builds on an established holiday tradition while introducing different settings, shows and activities. Kelly Daugherty, Six Flags’ entertainment director, said lighting, music, decorations and character encounters were developed to give each area a distinct holiday feel.

Ride operations will depend on weather and temperatures. Jersey Devil Coaster, Tango, Bugs Bunny National Park, El Toro and Runaway Train will remain closed during the seasonal event. Visitors should check availability during their trip because conditions could affect other attractions.

According to the park, a 2027 season pass includes admission for the rest of 2026, including Holiday in the Park and Fright Fest, along with general parking and visits throughout 2027. Regional admission benefits vary by pass eligibility.

Operating dates, tickets and pass information are available at sixflags.com/greatadventure.
