MANCHESTER – The township police department is mourning the loss of retired Sgt. Thomas Chambers, a longtime officer who served the township for more than 17 years.
Chambers joined the department in June 1984 and spent nearly two decades serving the residents of Manchester Township before retiring in July 2001.
In a statement, the department said Chambers was known throughout his career for his dedication, professionalism and commitment to the community.
“His contributions to the department and the residents of Manchester Township will not be forgotten,” the department said.
Police officials extended their condolences to Chambers’ wife, Kathy, and the couple’s family during this difficult time.
“Rest in peace, Sergeant Chambers. Thank you for your service,” the department said.
