TOMS RIVER — The township council will hold a special meeting June 4, at 6:30 p.m. at the township municipal building, officials said.
The meeting comes after the council’s May 27 session was adjourned before several items could be acted on, following a contentious meeting that veered off course.
The special meeting will take place in the L. Manuel Hirshblond Meeting Room at 33 Washington St.
According to a legal notice issued by the township, the council may consider several matters, including possible immediate action related to amendments to the 2026 municipal budget.
Officials said the council may also take up consent agenda items from the May 27 regular council meeting that were not acted on because that meeting was adjourned. The bill list from the May 27 meeting may also be considered.
The notice states the meeting is being held under the Open Public Meetings Act. Notice was provided by posting on the municipal bulletin board, filing with the township clerk and posting on the township’s website.
Formal action may be taken.
The notice was dated May 29 and issued by order of Mayor Daniel T. Rodrick.
