Micromedia Publications/Jersey Shore Online is seeking a part-time reporter to cover local news across Ocean and Monmouth counties.
The ideal candidate will have prior writing or reporting experience, strong news judgment, and the ability to produce clean, accurate copy on deadline. This position includes covering multiple beats, including local government, community events, fundraisers, features, and other assignments as needed.
Stories would be featured in our print newspapers and on our website.
Candidates must be available to cover evening local government meetings. The ability to take photos to accompany stories is also required.
This is a part-time, work-from-home position. Stories will be submitted by email. Reporters are expected to provide 2–4 stories per week, with photos, every week, on deadline. A full-time position is not currently available.
